Honors Topics in Design
This class was nicknamed "the design of everything else." We talked about designing systems and networks rather than isolated objects. It was the first real design class I've ever taken, and I learned a lot from it. It was also nice to be able to let loose some of my inner artist. We learned about the design process and also practiced critiquing, which I found very valuable.

One concept that stuck with me pretty well was the concept of emergent behavior. An example of this was a video our professor showed us. It was at a beach party, and a guy was dancing. A little while later another guy joined him. Slowly, but at a more rapid rate each time, people joined in until there was a huge crowd dancing together at what looked like a planned dance party.
